on the right track...
...but you just need to do a little more research with each name. I can see you're doing some study, but the rule of 'sleeping' over a name or 10 is a good one.
There are some kinds of names you just want to 'gut feel', and we all have to try those - some hit the mark, some don't (check out my nicedna.com and blogoria.com, ha ha); you reg them almost out of fun and exploration.
But with jobga, you were making the effort to do some study on a name that means something, business-wise, and that's good. Just need to spread your study around sideways a little more. I hit OVT with your name, found out mostly what the related names were, then typed a whack of varieties on Namespinner to see what was being reg'd.
Pretty much all the State abbreviations, with 'job' on the end, are taken: fljob.com, wajob.com, mnjob.com, etc. etc., with a lot of tld's gone for those also. Obviously that's the 'hotter' order for the names. When you switch things around, like jobfl.com, jobwa.com, jobmn.com, they're still taken, but with more tld's available... so obviously the other way is more popular, valuable, and to reg the name you did wouldn't have much value unless you happen to be approached by someone in Georgia who doesn't mind the name/order.
Also, do a little more study on Overture... a certain number of hits don't mean that these people type your domain name... it means they type those keywords (jobs, Ga) into search engines (Most popular is the plural, in your case, according to namespinner results - but OVT doesn't split hairs; whether you type in singulars or plurals you get the same results). To find out if anyone types in your domain and if you'll get any traffic, you'd have to type jobga.com into Overture, not just job ga... and you'll find out that no one types that in. Which also means that you'll get no traffic (no one visiting) with that name until you make it an active site and optimize it with search engines, etc.
I just tipped the top of the iceberg here for you; hang around this site and check out all the forums, and you'll soon be greasing along reg'ing much better names. But the fact you're thinking things out is a good sign...
Jobga is still an interesting word. Sometimes a word is fine to hold onto just because it has a funny sound. jobfl.com and jobmn.com don't have any ring to them, but jobga.com does. Not much of a ring, but there's a bell in the distance somewhere nonetheless. People like funny or Kool-sounding names.
A little gift for you:
jobgag.com is still available. Gagjob.com is taken... but I like jobgag.com better... and it's a name you might actually do something with. People look at it right away and recognize the common words job and gag, and imaginations start diarrhea-ing, if you know what I mean. I'd actually consider reg'ing this name myself. But I'll sleep on it, ha. Go for it with blessings, if you want it.
