I try to get 2 free low quality LLLL.COM ($40 dollars value) to cancel the deal at is advantage but he tell me that i'm trying to blackmail it. For me, it was a fair offer.

What does this have to do with him being the high bidder and you refusing to sell him the domain?

davepros, did he win the bid at ebay? if so why do you refuse to honor your offer? If he got upset and asked/demanded 2 low quality domains it would seem that is what's called compensation and not blackmail. JMO

I am just going state an opinion, nothing against either person.

If he asked for two LLLL.com's as blackmail, then that is wrong. If he was asking just to resolve the issue because of what you did then it may be ok.

For your comment about what other people on the forum has done, that's not the issue. It does not make what you did right or wrong. At the end of the day you were trying to sell something on ebay with no reserve, you are supposed to sell that item.

and i still stand by my first critique.... you should've listed it with a reserve if you weren't willing to potentially take a loss. and i, myself, have taken a loss on a few names for exactly that reason.... but i followed through.

and im not sure when/where we did business together (nothing with user id davepros anyway), not that it matters... i am not on a high and mighty horse...... point is, i LIKE ebay, and wish i felt comfortable buying and selling names there, but stories like this (ones not involving 'strangers' but fellow members on a forum i really value) seriously bum me out and keep me away. take that for what you will, but it's not intended as 'i am better than you' but rather 'i expect the same business standards from you as from myself, especially when it's difficult'......

regardless of what the rightful buyer may have done to salvage the situation (and in my mind such an offer is inappropriate, unless it came from your end as seller perhaps) the bottomline, which has already been pointed out, is that you are refusing to honor a sale. period. and that is still, in my book, LAME.
