Well, this one happens to be the only close friend of a CVCV I have... :(

Can anyone let me know if this is worth anything?

If it weren't a CVCV and had those letters, then it would worth much less than that. :)

$500 for a name with no meaning and a mere 4,000 results in Google? Are you guys serious? These over-valuations of 4-letters.com with absolute no potential are beginning to become quite stupid...
Sorry for the bashing, but I won't give the name more than $20-$50.

i have to agree with you such names are not being sold for $500, they are $250 - $350

but saying LLLL.com are over priced just because they have no potential is quite stupid; it cant have a value for you (i dont know where you are from) and if you are an english native speaker and i know it is not pronounceable in english but is in many languages, i can guarantee you this

the biggest problem, as said many times, is to think the internet is only in english and only who speaks english uses it; considering internet penetration is only 21% today and it is just growing, of course, in the developing countries (which dont have english as their mother language), try to guess what is going to happen

no offence intended cyf but read more about LLLL.com and you will, at least, understand what i am saying here

BTW, with $20 you buy nothing, maybe from $35 you are able to buy the "worst" one but take a look at what chinese think the best letters are... just a hint: they dont like A, E, I, O and U as we do :)

I'm not american, but French. And I speak at least one other foreign (asian) language, so I do know that words could have a different meaning for other countries.

Still, if this "word" had a meaning anywhere in the world, or if it was an acronym, would Google give only 4,000 results for it?

So, considering that this name has no actual meaning right now, the only reason for buying it $500 (or even $350) would be that you presume that it will worth much more in the future. My question is then: what kind of end user will want to buy this name in the $x,xxx range? A Web 2.0 start-up looking for a funny name?

Sorry, but I don't "buy" it. And, yes, I strongly believe that LLLL.com are over-rated right now. The only fact that a name has 4 letters does not make it a good name. IMHO, a kind of "LLLL.com bubble" is appearing. I even suspect that this bubble is created by domainers who invested a high bunch of money in this kind of names, and are a bit desperate to get part of their money back. Unfortunately, we all know what eventually happens with bubbles...
