Am about to switch from Hostgator shared hosting.....over to JaguarPC Semi-dedicated.......

any feedback?

If I were in your situation, I would look at A2hosting.com, as it offers shared hosting, semi-dedi and dedi servers, VPS and other hosting services. This company has LxAdmin which is an extremely lightweight and efficient web hosting platform provided with our CentOS 5 Host-In-A-Box OS template. It has been working and providing people with hosting services for over 5 years.

Do you think you should better buy VPS hosting instead of semi-dedicated server?

You've never heard of jaguarpc? They've been around since mid 2000. AFAIK, they have a good reputation. The advantage of their semi-dedicated over a VPS is that they fully manage the OS updates / security e.t.c. The disadvantage is you don't get the administrative power / isolation of a VPS.

I've only heard good things about them. They have some incredible VPS deals. You have to keep an eye open to catch them. I might be switching over to one soon enough.

I have seen they advertised heavily on the WHT. Maybe that would be good sign for you
