Im new user of NameDrive. I was using Sedo but they dont have pop up option. It is good or not to use it for your global revenue?
Thanks, Rocko.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I use it, and even though i get 30 or so visits on my name, i only get 3-4 pop ups per month. So its really up to you, but i dont think it will hurt.

Popups are bad (of course many popups don't pop due to software blockers)

This may create non returning visitors to a normal website but parked domains visitors are for one time only so a popup will not heart the owner

Anyway i prefer clean interface too

It realyl depends on the type of visitor you are getting. If you have a high CTR then pop-ups are bad because the visitor will simply leave straight away thinking of viruses, etc. whereas if you have a low CTR then pop-ups are definitely worth it because they would just leave anyway.

Totally with Jeffrey here. Even if they work, I'd never use them. I also hate it when they hit me, so I'd rather not annoy other people with them either.

Nice point. I agree.

However, I hate pop-us as well. Those sites are annoying and I forget about them, they seem unprofessional with that feature.

On the opposite side, a pop-under is much less intrusive and, when providing important and related info it's actually a good thing to have like when we, the visitors, are forgetting something.

its one of the web annoyance to have a popup, hence it's frequently filtered by popup stoppers. even in firefox or mozilla popups are filtered by default.

ND is a pop under!
I use them... they bring in a few extra cents, but only about 5% max of profit or maybe less.

Bad idea, it takes their attention away from the true prize; clicking on one of the links to advertisers. A exit pop-up would be a good use for one, gives you a second chance at making a Click-thru. Nothing imediatly though, it just screams spam.

As a visitor, I absolutely hate pop ups. There is at least one parking program that when you click for further info on a name for sale, you get 'youve won a plasma tv' and no link to the sale page. The result? No ppc revenue and no sale.

I'm with the majority pop ups are no no and pretty much should be avoided.

Theres no pint using popups - people mainly have popup blockers to prevent you from viewing them now.
