advice Is .xyz worth picking up?

I already know that most of you say to avoid anything outside of .com, however there are some niche keywords that are obtainable in this extension for less than $1k. I have a particular interest in these keywords and they are category killer terms.

.xyz doesn't seem to necessarily have a designated purpose like .ai or .io, but it does seem to be one of the top 5 extensions in recent domain sales listings (although not particularly big sales). But the sales I have seen in this extension are more than likely resellers picking them up at relatively cheap prices.

Do you think it is wise to buy them? Is there a future for this extension at all, in your opinions?

.ai didn't even know that it will become popular because of Ai. .ai is actually a cctld and was meant for only specific country. So you never know, what can be become popular and when.

Go for good already listed one word xyz names only if they have a standard renewal. Premium renewals will hurt.

If you know what you are doing, xyz can give you profit. Most of the people don't.
