Is this possible

i would like a site where people can type their info into a form, choose from one of twenty or thirty
stock images and then click "show me" to see their labels as a jpg. Once they're happy they click "pay", they pay
via PayPal

Im only really used HTML CSS and some PHP, but willing to learn what it takes


Any feedback would be great

Yes, this would be easy enough. It's just using some of the standard GD and image functions that PHP has:

PHP: GD and Image Functions - Manual

(All hosts - or 99% of them with PHP - would have the GD module installed)

Also search google for how to create text over an image via PHP.

Is it possible, yes.
Would anyone pay for this service? Probably not.

There are so many free resources out there, very few people are going to be willing to pay for something they could get for free.
Plus, if they can preview the image, they can just rightclick --> save as.

I would recommend using something like Google Adsense; if your service is popular, you'll be able to pull in some cash.

Not necessarily though. He's got a good point.
If it were just an image anyone can save it without paying the price. (if there is one)

With flash its much more of a pain to save the image. I guess they could do a print screen and then cut it out.

well flash would only be used for preview purpose and not for the whole site
