Hello,

I recently purchased www.championshipmanager6.com and I was wondering if I could get into any trouble over using this domain? My website is affliated with Beautiful Game Studios (the company that makes the game) but I am worried incase I am not allowed to use this domain.

I believe the next series of this game is going to be named Championship Manager 6 and I am going to use this domain to re-direct it to a fansite I am building.

It all depends on the company who's name you are using. Sometimes companies don't mind if you use their name if you are sending them traffic. You start running into problems though when you try making money off of it, ie affiliate programs and trying to sell the name to the company itself.

Ask yourself this question and I think you'll be able to answer your own. Would it be allright to register and run a website on aolinstantmessenger6.com since that's going to be the next version?

When you say you are affiliated with the company, does that mean you are business partners, or that you are just signed up with their affiliate program?

I personally wouldn't develop this name, since a c&d letter is probably right around the corner.

I am signed up to their affliate program. I wouldn't be making any money from this domain as I have NO affliate programs to make money from.

I have interviewed a few Eidos guys before for my website and I have always got on well with them.

I will talk with one of the guys from Beautiful Game Studios tomorrow and then they might transfer me to one of the Eidos guys.
