Is this megatrend the biggest of 2008? The decade? The future?

This week I began writing an article about a trend. After doing some research on popular sites like BoingBoing, Digg, Gizmodo and Engadget I realized something: this is arguably the biggest trend of 2008, and quite possibly of the future.

What is it? Read about it on my domaining blog.

I think the biggest trend in 2008 is the upward trend of the price of crude oil.

Fixhotep,

Just want to let you know that I enjoy your blog.
In fact the hypermiling trend is something that I
practiced for quite some time, just didn't know there
was a term for it.

Certainly in my fave 5 blogs.

Thanks a lot. It's always nice to hear things like that. I've heard of techniques as well, but it wasn't until recently when I heard an article on NPR about a hypermiler race that it dawned on me. Of course I raced home to see if hypermiler and hypermiling were available in .com, which they weren't.

Crude oil and environmentalism are monstrous trends, sure enough. Both industries use robots :P
