The appraisal looks good as commodity.TV could be a big thing in the future with commodity market growing globally. It could actually be worth more just be patient and hold it for some years.

The domain name is ok. I think GoDaddy embelishes a little on their appraisals. You will have to hold on to it to see some value. With the .tv, it helps if your domain name fits the extension and I don't think the word commodity does. I would not have regged it if I new it was available...put it that way. I have one .tv (whiz.tv), which I think is short and sweet, is actually the call letters for several stations in Ohio, and has a ring to it. Now MY .tv is coooooooooooooooool !

I would like to apologise for my post, I was tired at the time and it probably wasnt a good idea to post it. I will however give my proper appraisal to this domain.

Appraisal:
Overture shows that the word "commodity" is searched for 63994, it fits nicely into the extension but only to a limited audience. Due to the past explosion in tv advertising channels that offer everything from pooper scoopers to leather jackets you can see it fits nicely within the domain. .TV's arent a personal preference of mine and I would always work with .com/.net/.org over them but you have tagged a nice one. I do not agree with godaddy's appraisal because of my previous experience in the domain market. If you dont plan to sell it on park it at sedo or a minisite with a "contact" section to see if there is any interest. You could then target specific companies that are in this field - salt, sugar, pepper, food, etc.

My appraisal of the domain?
$50-200 to a reseller
$50-1000 to an end user

Who you could sell to?
TV Channel Retailers/Wholesalers
General commodity businesses, maybe not as strong but it is a nice keyword and could be branded on tv.
Some sort of organisation that oversees or is involved with (tv) advertised commodities.

I think that would be a fair price to accept for this domain, but don't cut yourself short. A domain is worth the value a potential buyer is willing to pay. If a commodities company approaches you looking for a top notch name for a tv advertising campaign, then the value is much higher than a few thousand.
