Is this for real??? D-:

Australian Women May Be Killed By Firing Squad

If it is, we need to ALL sign this petition to try to get this girl rescued! I know there are around 15,000 NP members so we can make a difference! I signed the petition (using my hotmail addy to be on the safe side). If this girl actually gets killed over weed, guilty or innocent, it would an unbelievable tragedy!

Let me know what you think and please, if it's not a real story please let us all know!

I am never going to another contry ever except for Canada or France.
And even then the flight will have to be non stop. If I must go for a job they better fly me using their own airports.

I have not convicted her. And I believe the laws of that country are the laws of that country. We are not talking about a ziplock bag of weed. WE are talking 9 LBS. Someone asked if you have seen what 9LBS of weed looks like. It is ALOT. Enough where in the USA she would be facing LIFE in prision.

I have also stated from the begining that I dont agree with this. It is very severe. Obviously way to severe. I expect that the Australian Government would step in and they should. Once again who was she that someone would plant that much weed on her?

Slipondajimmy, it's obvious you've already convicted her in your mind. Do you believe that ridiculous laws are more important than someone's life. Can you consider for one second that she may actually be innocent?

This is simply not a black and white argument. We're talking about a women who comes from a civilized country stuck in an uncivilized situation.

She may or may not have committed a crime on their soil. The laws of their country are obviously constructed to teach "bad" people a lesson and set an extreme example for other "bad" people. They believe weed is a life destroyer such as crack or heroine.

When a citizen of a civilized country is stuck in an uncivilized situation, their country has a responsibility to protect them, IMO. When the severity of punishment obviously outweighs the crime (most of us can agree it does in this situation) then someone with the power to change things needs to step in. I used to kick the shit out of anyone who mistreated my little sister. My mother got to the point where she wouldn't tell me anything my sister told her. I have calmed down quite a bit in my old age, but I still believe it is necessary to let people know that the actions they choose to take are sometimes wrong.

No offense to you sir, but in my opinion (and many others it seems) this is just wrong.
