Is the .web tld already out there? I thought that ICANN still didnt approve it, but I may be behind.

One more thing: can the .web tld domains already be pre registered even if ICANN didnt approve it yet?

I have no idea, but i can't seem to find any website that uses .web (eg, http://google.web , google would get a .web as soon as it came out). So, i don't think it is for real

Ahh, i have found this when i was looking up something on whois:

so it looks like .web.com is avaliable but not just .web. Well, i don't know lol

Until ICANN approves it, .web won't be available. But there are groups pushing
ICANN for it.

Nope. See above.

Case in point: ICANN already approved .jobs, and it's now entered the sunrise
period, meaning certain groups can pre-register with accredited registrars and
wait for results from the .jobs registry. .Jobs will eventually be available for
registration in August.

The only one that is similar is .web.com, which I find is hard to remember and not worth regging. I have only seen a few sites use it however.
