I've had sub-subdomains off of my main domain before like:

sfsdf.sfdsdfs.sdfsdf.maindomainhere.com

It works, it's not that hard to setup, you can ask your host and they should take care of it for your.

If you have CPanel, it's VERY easy to do...

Go to Subdomains, add one... like "subdomain.yourdomain.com"

Then, create another one, this time, in the list box, choose... "subdomain.yourdomain.com"

So your form looks like this ([ ] indicates textbox)

[subsubdomain].subdomain.yourdomain.com

See?
