10000 page views in 7 days - possible?

Hi,

something strange happened to me.

I registered a domain, and after just 7 days, received an info from cloudflare, that is surpassed the 10,000 visitors mark.


Can this be real?

If so, how come...?!

Did you ever encounter something similar?


I mean, its obvious that when a domain gets listed on a marketplace, it receives some traffic because of bots.

But this one, I didn't even list it anywhere at all...

Might suggest you to measure real-time traffic using GAnalytics, or similar apps.

I did not use any "traffic-service" whatsoever...


I suppose, traffic came in after the sale of the last crypto punk for $12.4 mio.;
this is the reason why I regged the name in first place.

Also, maybe there is an nft project going on, I am unaware of...

I can accept that 20-30% of that traffic was by bots; but the rest... don't think so.

Or: someone made some sort of DDoS attack on the domain.

But why?

Maybe someone was jealous at me for having registered the domain before him?
Could be possible.


Whatever,
will prepare the site for such eventualities...


Cloudflare / AWS are both good partners in this.
