Is it good to reg the .net .co.uk ect extension of a name and point the nameservers to a site along with .com?? Does it generate anymore traffic??

Certainly generates more traffic if the .net would get any traffic to begin with. If it's a great keyword you have in the .com, I'd work twice as hard for the .net and other extensions simply because package selling is a + in my book.

unless you have a showcase name, don't bother with the other extensions unless it is a company trade name.
