... to check what URL a person reached my website with?
eg, if they typed in www.myfileminder.com or if they typed in www.mikor.co.uk?
ive got both, they point to my website but if they used mikor.co.uk I want it to redirect to another page on my site, is there a way of doing this?
also when it redirects is it possible, short of using mod_rewrite (my host dosnt allow it) to keep the URL the same?
eg, instead of showing www.mikor.co.uk/mikorcouk/index.php just show www.mikor.co.uk?

So in theory you want the 2nd domain to point to a subfolder and act as its own website? Sounds to me like you want an "addon" domain. If your host allows that at least. May be free, might cost extra

Yep an addon domain will do all of what your asking for Mikor.

if you are using asp you can request the servervariable SERVER_NAME. I've never personally tried it because i don't have a domain, but im pretty sure that will return the name. also, I think HTTP_HOST does the same thing.

well i dont know if this will work, but you can always put it in one big html frame so that the domain url doesnt change to the name of the subfolder.
