Is there a minimun price for 1 letter .ccTld ?

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
I am pretty sure to have seen some decent sales , even hitting 4 figures for 1 letters .something

Are all ccTLDs good for that?

Like ....I don`t know just for example :

R.md

or

P.be

or

D.cz

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Registration rates for different extensions can get very high and so it would depend a lot on the extension. I think that one letter .cn domains must be one of the most popular types available.

Thanks Vurg...My question would be more referred to the lowest quality ccTLDs , exotic ccTLDs with low population or third world Countries as it would be logic to expect high prices for popular ccTLDs.

Thanks

Many ccTLDs have a minimum length of 2 or even 3 letters.
.be -> 2 characters
.cz -> the same I think

And these TLDs are not low quality.
For more exotic extensions like .vg .md or .ag etc many good keywords are still available. These extensions are not very liquid so it can turn out to be an expensive gamble IMHO.
There are a few reported sales for 1-char domains anyway, check dnsaleprice.com.
Also some registries like .im or .ws have a premium pricing policy that effectively discourages speculation...
Sure, 1-character domains are rare but scarcity alone does not make a name valuable.

Hi Kate,

thanks for your reply, I just listed a few ccTLDs for example......but .cz allows 1 char , they are all registered anyway.

WOW!

Thanks mate....Ok, let`s analize that:

s.com.mx (Mexico is a great market so that does not surprise me, it does surprise me that they allowed 1 char there too but being 3rd level I guess it`s easier)

.md is easily used for medical businesses so it makes sense

but what about
e.ag ?

Thanks

.ag was popular among German companies. Aktiengesellschaft, abbreviated as AG, is a German term that refers to a corporation that is limited by shares, i.e. owned by shareholders, and may be traded on a stock market. The term is used in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, but not Liechtenstein or Luxembourg.

There are a few reported .ag domain name sales involving German buyers/sellers. A German court ruled in July 2004 that a .ag domain may only be registered by a public limited company that has the same name as the domain name. For example, a company with shareholders in Germany having the name X AG can register x.ag and may not register y.ag.

I bulked sold all my one letters a few years ago, looking around low four figs for each domain. Not sure what today's pricing looks like.
