Is "Swiss Army" a trademark? I'm planning to register a swiss army related domain.

Swiss Army is a brand of a company called Victorinox, for example their watch line is called Swiss Army so I get they have some type of trademark for their brand and watches. But at the same time, Swiss Army is a pure generic term, the army in Switzerland is also the Swiss army. You should not get much trouble for that name. It is like if you have orange.com, orange before being a trademark of France Telecom is also a generic term.

That is correct, but I would imagine you would need to use it generically for it to be safe, nothing to do with knives or watches.

I am sure if you develop a site about the Army from Switzerland you are fine. If you are using it to do with knives there could be issues.

There are a few trademarks regarding "Swiss Army." Going forward, it just depends upon how you plan to develop your domain.

People are 100% correct the term is registered and your right to the use of it purely rests upon how you intend to use it.

That being said even if you do not use it in bad faith it will not necessarily stop a UDRP claim being filed. However this could happen with any domain of course.
