Can't believe what I'm seeing here. I'm just trying to purchase a Homepage Showcase listing for my domain currently pushed in auction and I can't even pay with my Card. And even though I don't have sufficient PayPal, there's not even an option for that. What the h*ll? Only Alipay and slow Wire?? And the irony: the previous page before this showed all the payment logos - Visa Mastercard PP etc only to end up with THIS huge disappointment. No way I'll use wire, by the time it reaches Sedo the auction will be over.

It's so ridiculous not to see any of the usual payment systems on such a HUGE, INTERNATIONAL site like this.

Just making a rant. Don't know what to do now. I don't even live in China. Do I have to start living in China and do some weird modern Chinese "ritual" of waving smartphones just to pay Sedo now?? (I only say this because of those videos-in-China I saw on Youtube...)

I had wires from HK to my bank in Ukraine within 2 business days.

HK is an international hub, if the HK banks don't do a good job they'll be screwed.

And besides even if it's really really 2 days, it's not like banks operate on weekends do they? (I know mine don't)

Really...
Really 2 BUSINESS days from HK local/domestic bank to Ukraine.
Probably, from the international banks in HK (like HSBC) will be even faster.

Then it really sucks for me to live in a "terrorist-labelled country" :(
What country exactly?
This theme is not about "terrorism"... it is mostly about various offshores and countries with high fraud rate...

Sedo have over 300 staff and none work weekends.
Their total staff doesn't matter, even if over 300 is real data.
Just few transfer specialists/agents there.
Regarding weekends - this is their tradition. They don't consider the domain sales as urgent events.

I wonder what would change for users if it was sold to a Chinese company. Most likely nothing.
The question is pointless.

2010 - it was era of Tim Schumacher...
Since 2012 - new CEO(s) there.
