Is Sav.com too risky?

I am wanting to buy a domain that points to a page at Sav.com listing it for sale. However, the posts on here seem to suggest this could be a risky thing. It appears folks have quite a few issues. I reached out to them and never heard back. Thoughts?

It's fine. They have their issues but you can buy the domain. There's escrow in place so nothing to worry.
The issues have mainly surfaced in registering/backordering process

I bought a domain recently and had no issues. Remember that they have a 60 day premium domain purchase lock for domains that are listed by private sellers.. Domain cannot be transferred. You can get that restriction lifted by contacting their support.

No issues for me.

I have purchased many names via Sav with no issues.

Same here. Transferred a number of names there, and registered some, as well. This is my first year using SAV. So far, no complaints whatsoever. If a lead for one of my SAV-registered domains comes from a marketplace that has an issue with SAV, I just redirect the lead to a different marketplace.

Agreed. DAN will not enter into transactions if your domain is listed on SAV. But as far I know Afternic etc has no problems.

Sav is even a fast transfer partner for both Afternic and Sedo.

In some cases you can buy it at a different registrar and it will auto transfer. A registrar of your choosing. I wouldn’t touch SAV with a ten foot pole after the countless complaints and glitches.

Can you sell a domain on sav.com if it is less than a month old? Does sav allow push?? The domain is registered on godaddy.com. do they take a push in 60 day registration lock???
