.me Is no_url_shorteners a dot me? Or a tiny url shortener

Hi everyone,

this thread is the spawn of a bit of confusion about fb.me which is "the quickest way to facebook" If you google fb.me it is referred to as their own url shortener.

I am a bit confused about how they could have a url shortener that would be eventually duplicated by the .me domain name extension.

is fb.me a dot me? or is it facebook's own url shortener / structure? If it's not a .me...how does that work?

It's ordinary .me

fb.me is Facebook's url shortening service but primarily is a .me domain like any other ending with the same extension.

okay, thanks for the info, i was just confused. i guess most of the online articles who reported about it really have no idea how to present information about the domain name.
