nouvelles (new) --> adapted to plural and feminin as it is une voiture (feminin) and plurar voitureS

Thanks guys.

Rosh, that is what was niggling me - but on google.fr "voitures neuves" with the "", returns 1.07m against 3650 for "voitures nouvelles" - without the "" though, the figures are bigger for nouvelles.

Mis-chiff - thanks for the tool - using that it does translate as 'new cars' but I'm always wary of computer translations as the grammar is often not right.

Still not totally convinced - can anyone else confirm ?

I double checked again.

Totally for free.

I did a search for 'car' and 'new' and this is what came up:

car: N voiture, car, autocar, tram, wagon

new: A nouveau, neuf, autre, moderne, novice, débutant, frai, étrange
ADV nouvellement

So if i combine both then that would make it so far nouveau voiture
but since it is 'une voiture' it is a feminin word meaning the adverb should change to that noun. So so far we would have nouvelle voiture. Finally, you want the plural of voiture which is voitures that will ad an -s to the Adverb nouvelle.

This makes : voitures nouvelles or nouvelles voitures

Im pretty sure!

My mother tongue is French: :imho: voituresneuves is fine; voituresnouvelles is bad.

You can say: J'ai une nouvelle voiture (means that you changed your car) or J'ai une voiture neuve (means that you don't have a used car but a new one).

However, you would not say "voiture nouvelle".

Jasdon, IMHO, your choice is correct.

I used to speak French well, and I even won an award once in highschool (what happened to me 8)..

In English, one tends to think more often the subject first.. then the action spoken after.. kinda like an ego approach..

With Tagalog (Filipino) is that the action comes first, and the subject becomes the predicate of the sentence.. so its "flipped"


With Dot Mobi, are you walking the dog or is the dog walking you?

I like to think the latter, truly this Dot Mobi soap opera can make one crayz - so its important to "let go" somewhat.
