Do we really want a man, who even jokingly, suggests we should bomb another nation by changing the lyrics to a popular song?

“Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran,” sang McCain. D-:

Sen. John McCain brought his "Straight Talk" tour to South Carolina Wednesday morning.

The presidential hopeful spent 90 minutes talking to nearly 500 people who crammed into the Murrells Inlet VFW Hall.

At the campaign rally, McCain was asked if an attack on Iran is in the works, the GEORGETOWN TIMES reports.

McCain began his answer by changing the words to a popular BEACH BOYS song.

“Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran,” he sang to the tune of Barbara Ann.

McCain is somewhere in between Al Sharpton and John Kerry. All 3 struggling for the limelight somewhere in outfield. Where in outfield, who knows. Always flying off the handle with no real point just like Sharpton and Kerry.

Yes, we do. If you can't make a joke about a situation then there's something very wrong with you (not you Dave, just making a point)

There's nothing wrong with it imo.

Seemed fine to me. He seemed to be talking with a room of vets. Also he was directly asked about WHEN we are going to "send an airmail message to Iran"...if anything he is witty. It was a subtle joke that the room giggled at...then he moved on which of course that's when the video stops. Bullcrap. Again...out of context.

The Arizona Republican was asked for his reaction to any negative response to the joke when he arrived in Las Vegas for a fundraiser Thursday night.

"Please, I was talking to some of my old veterans friends," he told reporters. "My response is, Lighten up and get a life."

When reporters asked if the joke was insensitive, McCain said: "Insensitive to what? The Iranians?"

I think politicians need to remember.. politicians start wars and innocent people pay for them.
