Is knowing webdesign a must?

To be successful in this business?

I'm really looking at going the route of holding any good names I may have or may get and start developing a few instead of trying to sell them all the time. Wait for that enduser to come to me.

Finding an affordable webdesigner you can trust is not easy. So I'm thinking about learning webdesign. Atleast some of the basic stuff to start developing a few domains into good looking, revenue generating websites cutting out the parking services.

Thoughts, recommendations?

Thanks!

Surely TBH, "This is no longer available" constitutes no content - therefore breaking AdSense TOS?

I know basic html and can edit php, and sometimes don't get a parse error!
I know a great bunch of people who do the hard stuff for me :tu:

The only content that is not availible is what they are trying to access. To go along with my example of an internet speed test, there is info on dsl, on what your speed means and what affects your connection speed etc. There is content, just the content that the user wants isnt there. (the actual speed test)

As a domainer, knowing web design may be not so important, but to to the industry trend is much more important than this.

Instead of bad design, I ussually put something like "This is no longer available." and put ads all around it. Either way works though =)

That is sneaky. :hehe:
