Hey,

Like the title says, is it possible to buy a good name and instantly sell it for some profit? Or is this a dream i'm trying to chase, and is age really important in the domain bussines?

May I ask about how was the process until you come up with the idea of that name?
It will give us newbie here a richly informative info..
I have over 100 5L names. Majority have been hand registered and are now listed on Brandbucket for around $2000. I spend many hours researching names that have potential to sell. My specialty is picking up great 5 L names.

Dropcatching services who cost around $20 rarely successfull to catch a good name. Even the catch was success, it will go to public auction due to it has more than 1 bid and the price will go high again...
There are heaps available on godaddy which have expired. Today I bought UpZag.com for $12. This name is probably worth around $4K to the right buyer. However need to be patient and the sale will come.

Where do you get the list from? I know expireddomains.net is a good one. Right now this site is so useful to me as I can filter the pattern for the domain which useful for 5L or 6L brandable domain. I learn the list from brandbucket accepted names first and then I make a list of some of the pattern that could be accept by them. May you share your own way to pick that 5L names?

Do you have other useful site as recommendation?

Is it from GoDaddy closeout or expired auction?

Yes GD closeout auctions and dynadot auctions.

Wow, cool BB portfolio. Are you specialized in 5L names?
How many domain in average can you sell on BB within a year?
Yes, picking 5L is my specialty.
I have been with BB for only six months so hard to say at this stage how many I average in a year. About 15-20% of BB sales consists of 5 L names.
5L names will significantly increase in value over the next 5 -7 years.

Alright, BB is emerging market right now.
Just FYI, I've found this gem on GoDaddy closeout now..
https://gb.auctions.godaddy.com/trpItemListing.aspx?domain=sixfo.com

It sounds like 64. It will be good for BB I think..
I think you should consider to take it before it expired. I am still out of money right now so it's OK....
