I haven't found xxxxguru(s).com sold very well, although there are a few guru sites up. I don't think these will sell well. I don't think your domain will catch much interest, either.

if you already registered a .guru, why ask after the fact?

now, points against registering one, are irrelevant.

Good Luck!

Waste of money and time.
What's the reg fee anyway?

ยฃ29.95 pre reg, if you dont land it, you get refunded (at least thats my registers price).

I personally wouldnt bother with anything less than .web, .online and .shop etc. Guru, bike, singles etc I honestly cant see doing good at all, but best of luck.

If you mean, do they have resale value, I have to say: good luck.
You never know, but most likely you are only going to make the registry richer.

eNom refunds some of the money minus 'the pre-registration' fees.
But in actuality, you don't get any of that money back. It will sit in the account till you die D-:

DomainName.guru and DomainNames.guru just sold for $175 each.
If they were dotcoms, they might be in the mid to high $xxx, xxx range.
I would only buy a .guru if I was a guru and I couldnt find a suitable .com for my business.

Nothing more than glorified domain hacks actually.

It might be affordable to register the domain, but if the registry don't sell - and renew - enough names, they will probably have to put up renewal prices a lot. I wouldn't build a site on one of these new TLDs, let alone buy a name to speculate on reselling it.

it wont resell at all.
if you had
love.guru
car.guru
property.guru
realty.guru
Job.guru
the.guru
guru.guru
my.guru
yoga.guru
stock.guru
trade.guru
it would make some money
but yours dont seem among the tops so.. hard luck..
but just wait and watch.

I don't get this gTLD.

It might gain some traction as a slangy version of CEO, but it doesn't seem very professional for a business person.

Perhaps it will have some utility as a gaming extension or teen hangout.

Perhaps others are seeing what I am not.

If so, more power to you.

let's talk about other gtld's apart from guru .
ventures and holdings for example
It's pretty obvious that unless you have those excellent keyword domains like
private.ventures, stock.holdings sale.clothing etc etc you won't make much but what about single alphabet domains of these gtld's, after all these are just 26 per extension ?

Three characters or more to register a domain name. :)

I think quality keywords woul do well in .guru but that's it. Unless you have the big ones like cloud, game, car, finance, love etc etc then I don't think much resale value.

In order to invest in guru you need to know what one is, keep it short, and sweet, and not put to many keywords to the left.

I feel for the OP as Hardware.guru is reserved by the registry, but how many people refer to themselves as a PC HARDWARE GURU? Maybe Computer.Guru would be the right term.

The first round is a lot tougher, as there wasn't much else in the marketplace, and a lot of hype, and excitement which brings with it careless money.

I have no idea how this extension plays out, but many terms did get registered in the course of the last week in .guru. I don't know how that story will change when there is only X amount of dollars for 1000 GTLD's, in comparison to today when there was X amount of dollars for 7 extensions.

I agree with everyone here, that you really need to own those short, popular single keywords to gain any traction. Most of those got grabbed at $200-$1500, so unless you were willing to open up your wallet, they were not cheap.
