Is it profitable to buy an auto-pilot domain off Flippa and how much upkeep is needed

Hey I'm interested in getting in the domain flipping game and I just want to know is it profitable to buy one of those "autopilot" domains off flippa. And If i bought one that had monthly income what would i have to do to upkeep it. Please are there any ebooks anyone suggests i read on this . please help!

Do a bit of research on the name. See history, backlinks, search engine rankings if any, etc.

Ask for and make sure you scrutinize the buyer's stats carefully.

Also find out from them where their traffic comes from. (How heavily do they advertise, if at all).
Source of income - parking, sales, adsense, advertising...?

Ask the seller to get the best information. What they say will give you an idea if you can trust them.

Get their full contact information, if they won't provide it, then you shouldn't trust them as much. Some people may be sending traffic to a site or domain and then later after someone buys, the traffic goes away.

Find out if they are a member here and have a profile and iTrader you can check on. Be careful.
