got this this morning through a scam buster site

"I was scammed by Igomogul. I’ve finally figured out how this scam works. Igomogul gets you to contract a website design through them. Igomogul makes an account with godaddy listing you as the registrant, this is $10 a year. Once a person looks at the “who is” and sees they are the registrant they are convinced they control the domain name. If they look at the bottom they will discover that it says registrant can not delete, renew, transfer, or update the account.

Should you call godaddy they will tell you that only the person or company with the log on, password, PIN or account number has control over the domain account. As such the person or company with that information can delete, renew, transfer, update, sell, give away, or close the account at any time without consent from the registrant or their knowledge.

Should the website fail Igomogul simply tells the registrant is it their fault. Should the website prove successful Igomogul hs the legal right to sell it and keep the money. Furthermore the content placed on the website is copyrighted to whomever has the account information, so that also becomes the property of Igomogul. Igomogul can use GoDaddy design and development tools to create the site; this costs less than $50 a year.

At the end of the first 90 days Igomogul demands more money...

Igomogul targets women over 50 with a low income.

I finally received the log on, password, PIN and account # for the godaddy domain Igomogul registered in my name however it is worthless.
Igomogul still controls the hosting files and without those I can not do anything with the website. While the good news is Igomogul can no longer do anything with the domain name, the bad news I can not do anything with the website.
This company has so many scamming tricks you know they have had much practice.
Further resarch has shown that Igomogul target women over the age of 50 with an income below $30,000 a year, with a limited education and no children.
Here is the link to verify this.

Hi Deborah
I'm really sorry to hear of your situation. It seems this company is banking on people becoming successful and putting them between a rock and a hard place.
Maybe some here can help you out with this.
So, just to clarify, does IgoMogul claim ownership of the content of your site? or are they just restricting your access to edit it?
If you have the godaddy information then you can change where its hosted.
Would you then be able to copy the website and transfer the content?
Please do make sure you are the only person on the account

If you have control over the domain and not the site, this is what you do:

Change the DNS of the domain to reflect that of YOUR hosting account. If you do not have hosting, purchase some.
Secondly, there are scripts on the internet to rip websites. Just steal the site that you bought and put it up on your new hosting.
Thirdly, call and complain. Leave messages, emails, etc. saying you are extremely dissatisfied with their company and that you will let everyone know about it.

All the best!

Regards,
Jacob "DebacleX" Nicholson

Icalled godaddy and this is what they said

As long as Igomogul has the hosting files they control the content of the website. I can put what I want on it but Igomogul can remove or alter what I put, also Igomogul can add content w/o my permission.
So while I now own the domain name and Igomogul can not sell, close, or delete the domain name they can still do anything they want with the site content until they release the hosting files.

IgoMogul doesn't have control over where your site is hosted if you are the owner of the godaddy account, where your name is registered. As mentioned by the other poster you need to get purchase hosting and change your Name Servers to point to the new hosting.
copy your website first.
