I am thinking of signing up with HostGator.com for hosting and mainly to use their free templates and free sitebuilder software. They claim to have 4500 templates.

Has anyone used them or heard about them?

Are their free templates and/or sitebuilder any good?

Please advise.

Thank you.

I have heard others give them a very good review including a Pro who is using them and the templates to quick build sites. I also heard Blue host was ok.

Gator is by far the best company I've ever used and I've used over 20-25 before I settled with Gator.
BlueHost's support don't even know how to move a simple database, so you cna pretty much forget about them

I have been using hostgator since 7 months and never had any problem with them. Their customer support is excellent. When I had to choose hosting for the first time, I heard many negative reviews about them (8 months back) and tried bluehost for 15 days. But frankly speaking, bluehost's customer care service is somewhat unreliable and you don't always get your problems solved, so, I thought of giving them a try after a brief pre-sale chat with their support and I am glad I did that. Its been 7 months and I being a total newbie at that time was solely depending upon their support to set up even my newer sites and they never disappointed me. :)

Although I have never used their free templates, but have seen few of them and they look quite professional. I just don't use them because most of them I checked was having flash which I do not prefer.

I'll say you can trust their service and support. :imho:
