Sad news,

I was going to register a domain today from www.ipowerweb.com or www.ipower.com and found that they have increased their domain pricing to $6.5 from $2.95

So, can now someone refer me a reliable site from where I can register domains at cheaper price?

Awaiting for replies

Thanx

Hi

I would highly recommend Fabulous to register domains with as they are tremendously reliable and provide a host of features that set them apart from the rest. I now use them for all of my new registrations and am transferring many of my older domains across from godaddy. Their .com registration costs are $7.43 after GST etc.

If you are a slightly cheaper domain registration company I would recommend Moniker. .com domain registrations are $6.95 with them compared to $7.43 with Fabulous. However you will have to email them and tell them you are a member of namepros to get this pricing. Moniker are also an extremely good service but I still rate Fabulous as the best due to their huge amount of services offered and awesome domain portfolio controls.

Hope this has helped you out some.

Best regards
David :)

I use domainsite, the basic price is $6.99. Most important is it accepts paypal. :)

If you are looking for cheaper than the $6+ range I would warn you to expect trouble. Registrars offering domains at low prices normally offer a very low service level. Just have a look around various posts on the forum and have a read eg. registerfly

Ipower is a top-rated company, so how could they afford giving out domains for just $2.95 with excellent service and support?

In what aspects are you referring to "top-rated"?

That's one trouble with providers who charge less than $6 for .com domains.
They've set unrealistic expectations that people will still get quality support at
that price...

...which they really won't.

Most likely because Ipower is focusing on the average layperson who want to
"build a website", and don't care to understand what they likely need to know
about how domain names and websites work.

There are various threads here about Ipower, and I think there's a review for
them already in the Registrars Review section. Take some time to check it.

iPower is definitely not top-rated (read my review in the registrars thread). Maybe they'll take some of this money and fix their tech support issues.

I can see why IPOWER upped the prices since anything below $6.25 is below actual registrar cost, you can run a business that loses $3.30 on each each domain that they sell, and they probably weren't getting enough private registration or hosting packages to compensate for the loss of money and decided they needed to actually make money on domain reg.

cancer10, look it that way - renewal price decreases from 8.25 to 6.5 and the fact that they not sell at loss (hope this bring some improvements) ;)

I am ipower/ipowerweb customer from ~9 months with ~10 domains and have no troubles at all.
(I am agree that they are not propper choice for bulk registrations and intensive domain management at this time)

Who do u recommend as the cheapest in bulk domain registration?

Just can't recommend the cheapest.

registerfly, resellersclub - cheapest (by my knowledge) , but with some disadvantages.

enom.com maybe is the right choice at reasonable price.

godaddy also has some good bulk features.

But all depends of your needs.
