Hi,

I've been looking into having some iphone apps developed, but don't know where to start. Can anyone let me know the average price to have developed and what I can expect in terms of a time frame? I understand it's completely subjective based on the app; however, just looking for a little guidance from some experts who have some experience.

Thanks in advance!

Hey East Coast,
I developed one recently that I had designed myself. I did the database and the layout, graphic design and all that and had a programmer in Egypt do the coding. To have it ready for the appstore cost me, in addition to my own time, only $400. I thought this was very reasonable. I found the programmer on Elance.com. If you submit what you want done then you will probably receive several bids for the work and you can get a reasonable idea of how much it will cost. If you are interested my app is at x.co/app

Then you have to deal with submitting the app to Apple which is a bit of a pain in the ass. The first thing you need to do is go to the Apple Dev Center.
