Again, has anyone had experience with this personally?
What can be done with this domain name that is 100% legal? If we were to put up a non-profit forum, discussion board or informational website on this domain, would that be good?
So if you buy an illegal firearm does that make it okay? The registrars do not evaluate domains for TMs (that would be ridiculous) - it is the responsibility of the buyer to make sure.
As is, Google could come after you with a UDRP and not only take the domain for nothing, but sue you for any profits you made from it and any damages you caused them.
You shouldn't be in domaining if you aren't familiar with basic domain law. It has nothing to do with personal experience (though many of us have experience), it has to do with the law. I don't need personal experience with murder laws to know it is not only against the law to murder, but also wrong and unethical. If you can't see what is wrong with stealing intellectual property, I don't know what to tell you. BTW, I do have personal experience (except I was smart enough to stay away from court) and my wife is a lawyer.
You need to read the legal section,. When I say "You cannot", it means you are not allowed to, its infringing on their trademark, this is common sense really. They can file a lawsuit against you and take the name from you anyway...squatting on company names is what gives us domainers a bad name
Just get rid of all those facebook, instagram, disney, amazon names, you cant sell them and noone will buy them
