What you think about .io???
These are selling at higher rates now a days.What could you see after few months/years about .io sales?

Receiving lots of offers on my Premium NL.io and NNN.io. Some people still underestimating NL.io power but I getting good return. One of company acquired (4) NL.io in 1 day. I registered all in April 2015. I had 2 LLL.io which I sold 1 month ago. Registered Lowest.io recently. LLL.io sales are random some high some extremely low because still more than 40% available to Hand Reg.

Receiving offers on a one word .io.... a name i got blasted for registering a year ago..... one potential buyer bumped him/herself up $300, and only $200 below my asking price.... these are moving in the right direction for investors.... .io will never be king, but let's face it, it's visually appealing, and anything new and innovative will draw attention.

.com will always be king and I never dispute that. But .IO for sure has the ability to be the top cctld. I had some amazing one word .co, .biz and .info that nobody wanted to offer even $5 for. But if I had those same words in .io, could of got hundreds, maybe thousands for them. So it's potential fax exceeds the other cctld's and gtld's.

There's never a certainty that .io will be the best cctld but it has good potential to be. Specific cc's like .uk, .us, .ca are only open to those countries, therefore they don't really qualify in my opinion. Being a top cctld in my books means anyone in the world can buy your domain, not just local citizens. I think .de is the big one right now, can't even check because registrarstats isn't working and I have a better site bookmarked on my computer at home.

With regards to selling on different websites/auction houses, there's still some sort of issue with regards to listings. GoDaddy would of had sales for sure except you can't list it and I have tried several times. I agree that it would be nice to see .io selling on Namejet, 4CN, Pheenix, Afternic, Bido, etc, but perhaps they have similar issues that GoDaddy faces.

Those other extensions get sales at other places. Really look at the link I posted, that's crazy. 97% Flippa or Park.io. If Flippa didn't exist, would we even be talking about this extension?

So we can agree to disagree on this one. Selling basically at one place isn't a good sign to me. It doesn't matter to you.

Nope! Especially because their hype caused some market movement last Spring when Cloud.IO sold. EVERYONE on Flippa was going crazy saying IO this and IO that. It was all manufactured market hype.

A sale is a sale. The link you posted shows regular sales since back to December. If someone is making 2x or more than their reg fee on their name, who cares where the sales happen? Some .io sales have happened here on NP too. Way more sales happen for short .cc in China marketplaces than outside China, so are those sales somehow tainted too? Sure it's an interesting point that many .io sales happen at Flippa and Park.io, but so what as long as they're real sales.

yes, because a ton of great companies are building products on this extension, which is why the TLD is valuable. As a developer, I build products on .io domains because of the culture behind it - it is all about tech.

Great point. The only thing holding me back from this extension is how all of these sales are either at park.io or Flippa. It seems every company using it is also some sort of tech company. A very niche extension to me.

SEDO also has .IO sales and GoDaddy you can't list many cctld's for auction.

I do like seeing multiple .IO's selling on a daily basis. Despite what people think, just because it's Flippa as the main seller, doesn't mean anything negative. Sellers MUST PAY an auction fee and MUST PAY a commission fee. So if people are playing games, it's just costing them quite a bit to do so and nobody is that stupid.

Then there's Park.IO and SEDO. GoDaddy you CANNOT sell on for whatever reason and that could be the reason why the extension doesn't sell quite yet on other auction sites.

The only thing I would like to know is how many .IO are hand registered, that information is tough to find.

I have sold through Flippa, Sedo, And here on Namepros too. I did so many bulk deal here for my NL.io. Yes I do agree with you @Jacks86 . Don't know how in the world Godaddy does not allow auction of .io on their platform. On one side Google consider it as GLtd and Godaddy does not even allow any auction of such premium extension.

couple more good 3L.IO sales on namebio and a couple on word. Guessyoulike found another Chinese website that allowed you to register domains. They have .IO but no .INFO, hmm.
