I just happened to be doing a search for 888 on Sedo and quite a lot of the new 888.GTLD were listed for sale.

Nearly all of them at $3888, coincidentally all of them owned by the same person.

Now how would that happen?

Can 888 really be TM'd? What if the names didn't have anything casino related? Personally, I could see this term being obtainable in multiple extensions. They probably didn't cost standard reg. fee, but I don't see 888 being one that tons of people were going for.
