It's nice and quite brandable, since you have a potential end user I would shoot for mid $x,xxx. Depending on how much traffic, ppc revenue you make on it and how big the company seeking you out is, perhaps start with a higher price. I definitely think the domain is worth at least 1k. Interactive Records is a great name for a record label, especially with the way the music industry has to try and combat poor store sales. Add interactivity.

It has the right kind of Tech/Web air to it.
Interactivity is what its all about now and will only grow in size.

As to the money question, its the music industry there are not very many poor record labels.

The question most pertinent to this is who is your buyer?
If its a big boy in the industry looking at branching out with a new label then pockets will be deep.

Or it could just be some DJ, that wants a cool name for his own label.

Now that I think of it this is a perfect name for the Electronic Dance Music Industry.
Could well be the name of some new Software.

Agree with ballisticjoe, depends if the buyer is a big label or a bedroom DJ, im guessing the latter and you would be lucky to get $500 (probably much less) from an independent guy who may like this name but can easily think of another one if he can't afford it.

Try to get an offer first and play it from there.

More likely than not, he'll try to get a bargain, so eb prepared to come down to $300 or so.

Yes the traditional model has holes and it is under attack, but that is exactly why this domain has potential.

Its the fact that the music would have some kind of interactivity incorporated, you could see a game come out, a Guitar Hero type thing or the dance mat one, that allows players to buy extra content from their favorite artist.

Or a karaoke device.

I talked with them on Thursday. They made an offer of $500. I answered that my expectations were more in the $5000 range.

In the end they seemed ready to go up to $1500, and I said my lowest price would be $2000. So I believe there is room for an agreement here.

I did not hear from them since Thursday which is a little concerning. I want to call them again tomorrow and would like to sollicit some advice. I will be highlighting sales reported on Namebio starting with Interactive or ending with Records, any other suggestions?

I talked with them for an update, the boss still needs to look into it. He's been busy lately that is why I got no e-mail, one will follow.
