What do you guys think ,this a top box office movie domain .

Inglorious-bastards.net --- 450 000 Google searches/month

Inglorious-Basterds.com ---- 90 500 Google searches/month


I wanted to build a website with them but was too busy on other projects ,so im wondering how much they would be worth since this is a top movie and getting many google searches for these keywords .Not expecting too much but still interested in your opinions ,thanks !!!

I'm pretty sure you're going to get in trouble with Miramax on this one. I'd run away from it as fast as you can. Even if it's not fully registered as a trademark, I'm pretty sure a unique movie name such as this one is a trademark under common law.

Absolutely. Don't build a Web site on it, especially -- you'll just be wasting your time and only helping to build an easy case against you. (Not that they'd have any trouble simply going by the domain name anyway.)

Definitely TM issues. They don't necessarily have to ask you to take it down first, they could just sue you if they want to go to the trouble of doing that. And if there is no monetization potential, there is no value to you as a seller.

And just in case you (shawn_23) believe, based on this response, that a misspelling relieves you of the TM issue, it doesn't. TM infringement is based on likely confusion with an existing TM. Calling a computer company "Appul Computer" is just as infringing as "Apple Computer."

(Just to be clear, abc3200, I'm not saying anything against you at all, just expanding on what you posted.)
