Six sold for $10k+
Nine sold for $6k-$9k
Six sold for $5k-$6k
Five sold for $4k-$5k
Nine sold for $2.5k to $4k
Eleven sold for $2k to $2.5k
Nineteen sold for $1k to $2k
Sixteen sold for $500-$1k

Curious as to throughts of how the equivalent keyword .TV would have sold vs the .Info...

I put .tv ahead of .info in regards to branding power and I think Mr and Mrs Everybody would be more familiar with the .tv extension more so than .info IMHO

Some of the keywords which sold for XXXX+ don't fit .TV well. Examples would include airline, franchise, bank, stroke, arthritis, cholesterol, headache, oil. Others such as diet, cruise, investments would probably make for a nice brand in .TV.

I disagree with you. Tuvalu has airline travel, Tuvalu has franchises, banks, stroke treatment, arthritis treatment, people with headaches, etc.

If you think the charade of .TV standing for "television" is etched in stone, you are probably sadly mistaken. Domainers and domain hucksters are having their way with .TV for the moment, and some end-users have taken the bait, but when they learn they've branded in the country code for Tuvalu instead of their own country, they'll dump .TV as quickly as Fox News dumped .mobi.

You're mistaken. Google and other search engines do not always handle ccTLDs for geographical purposes.

.ME = Montenegro ... When I search for "join me", I see that Join.me is ranked #1 in Google. And yet I'm in the USA -- not Montenegro. So clearly the owners of Join.me have not branded in the country code of Montenegro instead of their own country. Do you expect them to dump .ME?

The same applies to .TV.

From Google: Google sees regional top level domain names such as .eu and .asia as gTLDs, since they cannot be tied to a specific country. We also treat some vanity ccTLDs (such as .tv, .me, etc.) as gTLDs as we've found that users and webmasters frequently see these as being more generic than country-targeted (we don't have a complete list of such vanity ccTLDs that we treat as gTLDs as it may change over time). You can set geotargeting for websites with gTLDs using the Webmaster Tools Geographic Target setting.

Sorry, but you're wrong. What I believe you're trying to say is that every corporation has the ability to learn that .TV stands for Tuvalu, not "television." The information is out there and easily accessible. That doesn't mean the brain trusts at these corporations know WTF ccTLDs are and who controls them, ultimately. It defies logic that you would know that (in your own words) "every corporation using the .tv extension is well aware that it is the country code for Tuvalu." You cannot possibly know that unless you are familiar with the inner workings at NBC, MLB, etc. I don't believe you are. If you really have proof to back up what you said about "every corporation," then please provide it. Otherwise, it sounds like nonsense.

No that was not what I was trying to say but nice try. Secondly I am not sure what you would or would not know of my dealings with those companies who use .tv.

I have been covering and writing about .tv for a long time, most companies not all, know that gtlds are not two characters, maybe not the CEO but the people in I.T. know that.

The notion that companies that have been using .tv for over a decade will wake up to the fact that .tv is Tuvalu is just plain fantasy. Most of the big companies using .tv have the .com as well, along with ccTlds of countries they provide service.

Now these conspiracy theories are very interesting coming from someone that told a newbie to invest in .us and .tel.

.us - They are cheap now, and .us is the only TLD with an official US government legacy that is still recognized as such by the rest of the world. The official country-code domain of the United States.
The rest of the world counts on ccTLDs for their respective countries.

.tel - Eventually an online directory with contact info only will be an efficient way to procure names, phone numbers, addresses, etc., without having to navigate through a built website. Again, they are cheap now.

When the domain name system becomes part of the curriculum of public education, these two will see skyrocketing values.

Was that said with a straight face ? .TEL

But since we want to get into what I know, I know this section of this forum is not going to be trolled, that I know. So if a post is a trolling/off topic post it will be deleted.

I would agree .TV does not fit just any keyword and even some of the diehard .TV domain investors still focus pretty exclusively on one-word .TVs rather than two-word combinations. Anyway, this summer and this week I turned down low $xxxx offers on .TV domains. I don't believe I have ever turned down an $XXXX offer for a .COM and have never received an offer over $150 for a .info.

Id like to take the opportunity to say thankyou and a big Happy Holidays to all the haters and naysayers. Each in your own small way have helped keep a huge seething mass of highly intelligent and well-funded fishies out of our little pond and for this I am truly grateful because I only take the scraps here and even that has been great.
Without you guys life would be a much harder place, competition at .tv would be more intense and the ghost of future drops would be a troubling spectre indeed. :D

...correct, those two little letters, tv, have been branded and positioned in the minds of consumers worldwide as to what it represents for over 60+ years.

regardless of digital television, HDTV, 3d tv, the internet, cyberspace or even the "tiny little island of Tuvalu", those letters are well known on the planet and endusers have sure been buying AND using the extension more than before.

This past year has been an uplifting experience for the extension and next year will more than likely be no exception, either...

...during the Olympics held this year in London, it was revealed during the opening ceremonies that the Island of Tuvalu's extension was .tv. This was broadcast across the nation on NBC, the inner workings of which may have a clue.

I dunno, but I think that this term will endure and NOT fade away as too much money is invested in it by mega-media and other huge concerns and, as we all know or should know by now, that "Money talks and B.S. walks"...
