I asked a while ago how to catch the .info drops as a non-registrar "pool" was the only place given.

There's got to be another service people are using for .info. I just missed a huge drop (at least for me personally) using pool. It wasn't an ultsearch or buydomains who got it either, the whois has updated to some owner from dotster.com .

How's it being done :( Very disappointing day for me today.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! :(

I have no idea when they started, it was news to me today when I was looking around trying to figure out how the dotster guy got it. I could have lived with it if they'd used a foreign language one that's hard to find, losing the domain to namewinner just makes me feel stupid!

No, I'm Canadian so our thanksgiving is long since passed :P

They must have changed the drop time or something I have loads in my list and nothing seems to be droping or they have already.

I caught a few scraps so either someone is scripting the hell out of them or they are droping real slow...

Most of the drops seem to be successfully caught by either pool or a german site that only catches for registrars. I picked up some from pool and some more just by dumb luck trying them.

For some reason, I even beat pool on a couple of them from a plain registrar domain registration page. They seem to have dropped a little before the scheduled time. This brings up the question, if drops are supposed to happen at say 10am and they actually drop sooner, does pool or namewinner even keep trying them 24 hours a day?

.infos are dropping all over the place(day). :)
They change hours, days, you name it!
I caught 3 great ones by hand when they changed the hour one day and pool and some others were not trying. :)
I think now pool, namewinner and all the others are trying 24/7.

Nope you guys are wrong. A couple of the guys at DNF made a program that runs off eNom reseller accounts and your desktop. Very good if you are on cable or dsl. It runs in the background. If you look at the big drop catchers that post thier names here you will see that they are all regged at eNom. The program was selling for $20 or $25 and Robert Morrison Made one (Dropsnapper.com) that was free. I managed to get the install before his site went down. I believe he took it down to increase his chances on the drops or he is going to sell the program. The .info are easier to catch i hear because all the big players like pool etc.. are going for the more premium extensions. Send me a pm if you want the program and if you like it please donat a couple NP$

I have found that many .info's are droping at 3am on their deletion dates.

Delete I am right about the hours!

I have both the programs.
They don't work as good as they used to.

About 3.30 am is one hour they start dropping.
When they have a lot the drop goes on for hours...
Sometimes they stop the drop and continue it later in the day... or next day.

I recently installed and tried the dropsnapper program. it worked once to letme know that a domain was available. However, it said 'domain is available and NOT registered', so I had to go in eNom and register it manually.
