Influence from Asia?

Every so often I come across an Asian site, they look so different to what we in the west are used to.

Do you think we could or should take some inspiration from Asian sites and more importantly, how well do you think an Asian-style website would be accepted by western people?

Here's a few examples:
Note: you'll need to enable Asian languages in Windows to see the letters otherwise you'll just see ???
In XP, go to Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, click the languages tab and then tick the boxes to install the Asian languages

You can probably work out what most of those sites are.
Would you regularly visit a site designed like that or is it just too different?

Those sites are pritty good.

Though, i have seen some very, stylish, unique ones before, in Japanese.
I do think we should start to get inspiration from such sites.

They bring nice, interesting designs and colours to the 'net. :tu:

They certainly beat the boring, bland, identical sites that Google, Yahoo, Ebay, and the like are unleashing on the world!

They seem pretty similar to me except their sites are much more colorful. Which is good.
