A good and important search engine can find your site in few days if you have few links to it. I think search engine submission is a lost of time. Google, yahoo and bing have about 90-95% from search engines market.

The rest of engines are almost irrelevant and is very difficult to have a good traffic from these engines.

I will agree to what "nichita2008" said. Submitting to too many SEs will most probably not help as the main SEs used are Google, yahoo and Bing. And these 3 SEs can easily find new sites with the help of few backlinks. Submitting to SEs do not guarantee that the site will be indexed and ranked high.

I think only form Google, yahoo and bing you can get good traffic. It's very difficult to have traffic from other search engines.

search engine submisison is old school method of getting a site indexed that is no longer needed. since a site will not rank without backlinks, a site owner will need to work on link building anyways which will get a site indexed with all major search engines. search engine submission therefore is useless

We dont have to submit to search engines. Search engines can find our site. Also only Google, Yahoo, MSN, Aol are top traffic search engines. Submitting to other search engines are waste of time.

nichita2008 is rite google and yahoo is the best of all
