I had about 200NP$ then I cancelled 2 links and got refunds, giving me 429.05 NP$. However, onyl a few pages show 429.05 NP, and when I go so use $400 of them to pay a seller, It says I dont have that much.

I see this:

Your NP$ : 211.80
Domain Credit: 217.25 NP

Why did my NP$ refund go to domain credit? I dont need domains.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I believe you gain domain credits for links. So refunds may automatically be in domain credits. This is only opinion though.

iif its switching between 429 and some other number depending on the page (if i understand you correctly) that could be a site error. i advise posting in the "contact staff" section or whatever it's called (all the way at the bottom)

What is the difference between NP$ and domain credits? I go to the domain registration page and it asks for NP$, not domain credits, I am confused.

I paid for the links with NP$, so why converted to domain credits upon refund?

If you click that link Mark provided, it shows
the payment method IE: NP or Domain credit
that you used for those particular transactions.

When you register a domain here, it asks for NP
but it takes your domain credit first, then if needed, your NP$

Domain credit can only be used by you, it cannot be transferred.
NP$ can be used and transferred to other users.
Hope that helps :)

If you paid via Domain Credits (Which your Np$ history shows you did) -- Thats what you will be refunded with. http://www.namepros.com/ushop.php?do=userhistory

The two are not exchangeable.
Not So.
Whenever I have paid for Links with NP$ or Domain Credits
Any refunds have always been paid in Domain credits.

NP Domain credit is worth the same as regular NP$ for purchasing domain services, but it cannot be transferred to other NamePros members. This restriction is neccessary for this program to discourage users with duplicate accounts.

What are NameBucks / NamePoints / NP$ ?

NP$ (aka NameBucks) are part of our forum's currency system and can be used to 'purchase' benefits and features on the forum and, on occasions, actual goods and services through the NamePros Store. They may be earned by site participation, purchased from the bank or other members, and can be used as an easy and fee-free way to buy and sell with other NamePros Members on low to mid value transactions.

NameBucks have real value, guaranteed by the site owners, and the integrity of the currency system is protected and held in high regard.

General Information

* NP$ is used as an abbreviation for the NameBucks currency. (For example: A new domain registration may cost 425 NP$)
* The forum store and purchase price list is located here
* NameBucks may be bought from and sold to other members at the NameBucks Exchange
* To buy and sell items with other members see the NP$ Buy/Sell forum.
* NamePros holds regular live auctions with bidding done in NP$.
* You can also buy or sell NameBucks from the bank at any time at the posted rates. The bank rates are stable and will not change without a minimum 10 days posted notice. Rates provided by the bank for buying and selling are at the high and low ends of the value and are set to provide and guarantee a range of value for NameBucks. You can exchange your NameBucks at the current market rate by buying and selling with other members.
* Site staff reserves the right to freeze the NP$ accounts of any members abusing the system or other members.

Earning NameBucks

* See the NP$ Incentives forum for offers from other members for earning NP$.
* Quality posts in NamePros discussion forums may be rewarded with NP$.
* Posts in the following forums will never earn NP$ bonuses: Contest Forum, Welcome Forum, or any marketplace forums
* 25 NP$ bonuses may be awarded periodically for referring new active members. Screening may be done to prevent fake new accounts. Referrals are subject to verification and referral credit may not be earned by referring people in your IP range. Spamming your referral link by email or PMs on other forums is not allowed! NP$ for referrals is awarded through a verification process done by site staff.
* These earn rates are subject to change as needed to stabalize the monetary system.
