One of indoushosting.com's staff members seems to have posted in a few places like WHT and Digg about the $4.99 .in promotion. But the price does show as $16.99 when I go to their domain registration page.

I opened a ticket on their support system about this. Will post what I hear back from them.

Edit: I haven't got a reply yet from them but I just realized Resellerclub is lowering the prices on the 15th hence it makes sense their price hasn't been adjusted yet.

However, their posts on Digg suggest the pricing is supposed to start today. I guess they just jumped the gun.

as you can see they are talking abotu domain names.. and not tlds.. so second level domain names are for those register in .IN and thrid level domain names for those regd in .co.in, .org.in etc...

they willhenceforth also have the same price for all .in domains... whether second level or third level..

Thx travinb, your post made me call them and speak to them. I have confirmed that its valid for .in and .co.in and all other third level domains as well. I've edited my post above to avoid confusion.

The good news - it will saturate the available .in market, drastically and increase aftermarket value of current holdings.

The bad news - I don't think that after December 31st 2007, any logical, legal, decent keyword will ever be available again for .in and .co.in for hand registration. And it will depress the after market for at least these three months.

It seems indoushosting.com's promotional post is this ? They are not registrar so how they got to know from registry ? they are simple reseller of Directi so they depend on Directi to start promotion.

.IN promotion already started lot of domains gone I talked my registrar Mitsu.in (accredited .in registrar), they started promotional price from 6th October itself ? they already sold 15,000 domains in promotion ? They are selling in lowest in industry even Directi is not ?

Seems people promote themselves on forum ?

Lol, yes they seem to offering discounts, but they're using the same system is all of the others.

So even though they might be a registrar for .in, they're still on the Directi platform.

And apparently, they will give you credit for the price difference in what you purchase, but the credit needs to be spent with them as well....which is a lot different than flat rate pricing.

BULK USER Please Register your .IN promo domains normally from interface and then please send us list of domains registered to get credit in your account along with your customer id.
Bulk Domains means minimum 10 Domains of any .IN Domains including Third level .In Domains.
