Image Trading... Good Concept?

Hi,

This has probably been done before (if so plz link me up), but how's the concept of IMAGE TRADING sound to you?

Say two artsits, or web developers or something, want an image, and they like each other's images/graphics - they can trade them, instead of pay for them. (Previews done by watermarking)

This would also be great for trading things like unique avatars that people have made, buddy icons, etc.

Has it been done before, and is it a good idea?

EDIT: And for profit, perhaps get a featured "trade"? Plus buy/sell stock photos? ... any other ideas?

I don't know if it has been done before but I think it would be hard to get customers/users.
