Idn (German) and google

I have recently bought a german idn (.com) and designed a site around it already to go.
But when I went to move the domain to my host i got the following code xn-- before the domain and no idn.
What is the story with this in google
The domain is for a low competition search term but the search term includes the idn (ü)
I want to get search engine traffic to it

I have have the domain without the idn should I use this instead does it make a difference

Host is as xn--

Google sees and displays it in unicode. Don't worry.
