Ideas for PHP Tutorials?

I am kind short on ideas for writing PHP tutorials, so I was hoping someone here could suggest some ideas for tutorials they might like to see or think would be a good idea. I'm looking for ideas that haven't been overdone such as making a PHP include tutorial which there is already enough of.

How about a php tutorial on how to make a complete lottery system.

Where people pay via paypal, credit card etc, and get entered into a draw.

A great site which has php tutorials is www.w3schools.com

Get your ideas from them lol, they have tons of tuts

I'm not a newbie when it comes to PHP, however I have problems displaying PHP dates in different formats and adding time, timezone or other variants that usual to Javascript.

If I have problems, novices may too and needing more urgently a tutorial like this :blink:

Have you noticed how Social web 2.0 sites have been taking off? In my opinion, since I had two social sites, the scripts I used was php in nature, but as of late it seems the more stable and popular social sites are based on Smarty Template Engine.

Now if you could write short tutorials on how to integrate small php functions/code/ or plugins from other free resources into smarty it would help. I know that you would get a huge audience, because smarty engine is still relatively new and not much competition.
