Idea For Marketing Gambling Domains To End Users

Hi guys

I was chatting to a colleague about an idea and I'd be interested to know what you think.

We're both heavily involved as "end users" in the Casino & Poker community and an idea came up about providing a Parking Server for casino, poker, sportsbook domains which we can market to those communities.

I think we could keep this free too by doing a similar thing to Sedo's PPC links using our gambling links. One issue is that we wouldn't have the time/resources to do a revenue share with domainers, it would be way to complicated, but a) i suspect most domains at Sedo and places only earn a small amount anyway, and b) far more importantly, we would be able to provide the domains with a targetted gambling audience, many of whom regularly buy up new domains.

So just as an idea, would there be support for it?

If you were to set up a parking service for poker and/or gambling domains that paid out higher than any other parking service, I think people would be game. What I would envision would be having people sign up for the service, then forward their domain traffic to one central page (with all of the ads and banners). From there, revenue would be shared based on who sent the traffic to the page (or a similar format). Additionally, there would be a section listing all of the available poker/gambling domains.

Without a revenue share No I would not personally, If someone has good names not three word .orgs they should be abe to figure out how to market those names themself and earn revenue along the way, I earn great $$$ from Fabulous and would not leave them for any other service especially one not paying. I am sure there are some that would good luck either way.

Thanks equity78. Valuable fedback. Its a lot of work so i don't want to go down a path that doesn't pay off.

Fonzie: to re-iterate, the service would get the domain names in front of the end-users but at the expense of ongoing PPC revenue. Its for resellers rather than PPC builders.
