i just thought that if someone used the idea and created a sitesimilar but for charity, it would get a lot of press coverage (trying to raise $1million for a different charity every year would go down pretty well) lots of hits and a decent pr im sure people would pay $1 a year for a link on there.

Just a thought anyway if i had the time i would try and get something going

about time i had 1 i suppose.

Anyway if anyone is interested in getting this going i wouldnt mind helping out, i just dont have the time needed to run it and get it started

It's a good idea, but if it's going to be promoted as a charity site, keep in mind there's a lot of red-tape to go through to qualify yourself as an individual or firm authorized to collect charity funds from the public. You can't just 'say' you're going to donate the money to charity -- you must be licensed. However, one way around that would be to have people make their payment directly to the charity instead of through you.

I agree,Unfortuantly due to scammers there is way more to setting up a charity.But an excellent idea none the less.
