ICANN verifications - What to do

I've been getting a few of those "It's that time of year again"
ICANN verification emails for my domains and I'm wondering what you guys
do to work around clicking the link?

To many phishing attempts these days, what's the safest way?

Well You may copy the link URL and paste it in the new tab. Just check the Domain part if it is fine then just press Enter key else leave it
OR
you may also email the concerned domain registrar and ask them to confirm the email message.

I just ignore any of these emails, real or fake.
If you just make sure your whois information is updated, you don't need to do anything.
