I'm looking for cruel-but-fair appraisal of iblog.com - this seems like the right place to ask!

Registered the domain in 2000 but have not done anything useful with it.

Blogging might be picking up a bit now that http://blogger.com has relaunched. Google says it finds about 330,000 occurances of the word (if that counts for anything, I have no idea)

any thoughts welcome

It would be a strong name for any big company wanting to make a run into Google's new territory, in which case it should go for at least $10k, maybe even considerably more.

However, you could be waiting years to find a buyer in that price range... or it could be tomorrow. I expect if you needed a quick sale (wholesale) it wouldn't be hard to sell at $3-4k.

Very hot! One of the best I've seen here lately. I think finding a person willing to pay $10k might be difficult. But this would sell on pool easily for $4k to $6k. If you got a bite in that range, I'd take it. Bloggin will one day lose its luster and so will the domain name.

What tecniques are you using to appraise a domain?

Very nice name. Should be reasonably easy to sell at low $X,XXX to a reseller. With big companies, of course, you could be looking at five figures. It just depends on how motivated they are, and how much others (like Google) are pushing blogging in general.
