I'm watching Bono and Pavarotti on abstracts.tv (nice work there btw, 900 videos :wave
wow). With hundreds of videos to choose from, all streaming from YouTube, I'm hoping the RIAA will bring back Hillary Rosen to take down Google. Is it possible for a watershed change in copyright law?
Recent court decisions extending TM (e.g. Mickey Mouse) move in the direction of expanding IP property rights, possibly to help protect significant but increasingly plundered US intellectual property.
But public opinion can overrule judicial policy, if the sentiment is strong enough to influence politicians. This is especially true in the somewhat arbitrarily determined rules of copyright, which are easily enough redefined by congress. And people love Google...
Either way, somethings gotta give, cause now I'm streaming Metallica, and they look pi$$ed.
